Sustainable Development in Costa Rica
Study abroad in Costa Rica, a world-renowned haven for explorers, adventurers, and environmentalists.
Spend three weeks immersed in Costa Rica’s central valley where you’ll spend time gaining an understanding of sustainable development theory at the United Nations founded University for Peace in Costa Rica’s capital and visiting sites that bring these concepts to life. During Field Excursions, the sites you visit become your classroom. You’ll deepen your understanding of concepts like linear economies and circular production by immersing yourself in recycling plants, sustainable farms, national conservation areas, and more.
You’ll return home with three college credits, as well as a deeper understanding of what makes our system unsustainable and the steps it will take to create the sustainable future that we know is possible.
